Luciano Pavarotti [Oct. 12, 1935 – Sept. 6, 2007]

Luciano Pavarotti passed away this morning at the age of 71 in Modena, Italy. I'm sure most of you have already heard the news and are well familiar with the details and the accolades that are being paid to this gifted man.

I just wanted to add a little something since I was one of the millions that have had the pleasure of listening to his rendition of many arias and you could say he was the one that really got me interested in the world of opera. One of my favorites has been his performance of "Caruso" (by Lucio Dalla) which I found on the Greatest Hits CD.

So here's to a gifted & generous man and a great tenor. Requiescat in pace.

Pavarotti was amazing. He is the first one who got me interested in opera as well :)
